I have never had a man just f*k me like that, with pure lust and physical desire, without either one of us giving a single shit about convention or feelings or propriety. I have never just let go the way I did in that living room. I have never come that hard that many times. And yet, it was the most insane, erotic, exhilarating and sensual experience of my life. What I did was stupid, thoughtless, and f*ng crazy. I don’t know how I feel about anything right now. My sympathetic nervous system fires on all cylinders, rendering me unable to relax or complete a coherent thought and reducing me to a ball of nervous physical energy. Shivers run up and down my body like aftershocks, reminding me of the intense pleasure at the hands of a man whose name I don’t even know. My legs are still jello and I can barely keep myself up. My chest tightens as I lean against the cold tile and aggressively scrub my skin with a bar of soap. The shower is sobering and panic hits me hard. I think it will give you a good idea if this is something you want to dive into. There are parts that are difficult to read, and those parts were just as hard for me to write. There is a vulnerability in all of the characters that seems to speak to many readers. It’s the darkest I have written, and yet it seems to touch a soft spot for many people. LOL.īut DEBT is here and I am already overwhelmed by the response. So I am officially the worst because I post on my own blog late.

I have listen to THE COMPANY and CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR, both relating to the CIA and the abuse of power by those in our government but LEGACY OF ASHES is the best. For those who still have 9/11 burned into your memories, the story behind the story told in this book will leave you very upset. It is a long book (21 hours) but well worth the time. This book reveals personal agendas by those in power who wanted revenge for the several defeats we as a county have had, even when it is described as less than a defeat. I have always defended the agency and assumed that the government (aka CIA)did what it had too do to keep us safe. What the facts are based on is what is so scary, I have become very skeptical about the agency. The book is based on documents, interviews and not a personal bias from the author. This book is aimed at the leadership of the agency for the history of the CIA AND our leaders who we have voted for to guide this country. The book does not have an agenda but one gets the sense the author does respect the employees who have put their lives on the line as well as those who daily attempted to protect this country. This is by far the most informative book I have read or listen to for the real details of the CIA. The Roman’s come to believe that Gotham City is his empire. Carmine, “The Roman”, Falcone is known as Gotham’s City’s untouchable Crime Boss. It also helps that the man who owns the building won’t call the police. Aside from the ten or twenty grand I can pull out of here every time I stop by. “…This…home has particular significance to me. But more than being targets of her criminal activities, the Falcones mean much more to Selina Kyle. Sofia, the Gigante, Falcone is confined to a wheelchair after a battle with Catwoman. Carmine Falcone, the head of the family carries a scar across his face from her. Catwoman has made a career of stealing from the Falcones. Selena Kyle, with Edward Nygma (aka the Riddler, okay get the hell out of the cave already! By the way if I mention someone named Bruce, seriously you should be able to figure that one out on your own!) fly to Rome to research the Falcone family. It also ties up the question of Selena Kyle (aka Catwoman for all those who have been living in a cave, that is not a batcave) and her connection with the criminal family: the Falcones. This six part mini-series tells the story of Catwoman and her disappearance during the Dark Victory saga. Catwoman: When in Rome, may be my favorite of all the Loeb and Sale forays into the Batman universe. He finds fault with the “progressophobes” who, he says, unreasonably deny or downplay the hard facts of our betterment over the centuries: we are as a species richer in opportunity, education, freedom, security, human rights and social equality than ever before. Elaborating on a theme of his earlier publication, The Better Angels of Our Nature, Pinker marshals a wealth of evidence for the proposition that globally we’ve made immense progress in just about all domains of human flourishing. With the very idea of a shared, objective reality in question, we’re fortunate that Steven Pinker offers a spirited defense of reason and science, and the progressive, humanistic fruits thereof, in his new book Enlightenment Now. Constantine,” Brenda calls out, a wide smile on her wrinkled face. No matter how hard they try to claw their way out of the gutter and dress up to fit our world, they’ll always be rats in fucking suits. The Morellis only wish their presence in this city were anywhere close to ours. We’ve been in every architectural magazine, and a movie was even once filmed here. It’s one of the most revered and admired pieces of architecture in New York. The one-thousand-seven-foot skyscraper Halcyon Building is more than the hub for a multi-billion-dollar firm but is also the home of three five-star restaurants, a bar and cigar lounge, a state-of-the-art wellness spa, three elite residential floors, and a rooftop private terrace. Halcyon requires everyone to play by the Constantine rules-by my rules-in order to maintain the utmost control over this godforsaken city. All because they obey my one golden rule. It takes an iron fist to keep everyone in perfect submission. We’re not a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s most prestigious acquisition firms for nothing. It’s what keeps the wheel greased and moving efficiently. Important Reasons for Having Mirrors in ElevatorsĪ sense of pride washes over me when they all yield to my simple demands. She wasn’t innocent in some things, but she was an innocent of this war. Nate left their fraternity instead, and they went after me. Sebastian wanted to destroy my friendship with Nate. I hadn’t fought in so long, but this felt good, finally being able to release the demons. When one was knocked out, another would step in, and I’d fight him like the others-quick, painful, and without thought. Each one of Sebastian’s guys would get up, and I’d hit them back down. They’d been screaming like that for the last hour. He was checking out how much blood was there, and then the yells started to filter through my haze. He bent over, drawing in ragged breaths, and his hand raised to his head. It was a matter of moments before he gave in. They got one, and this lackey would be the third guy I took down. There was a crowd around us, but I couldn’t hear them. My fist hit the side of his eye, and he doubled over. He was coming right, so I shifted, blocked his punch, and rounded with my own. Fallen Crest University (Fallen Crest High #5) I have admired Pat Summitt for many years. Pat continued to be a fighter, facing this new challenge the way she's faced every other-with hard work, perseverance, and a sense of humor. Despite her devastating diagnosis, she led the Vols to win their sixteenth SEC championship in March 2012. Pat's life took a shocking turn in 2011, when she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, an irreversible brain condition that affects 5 million Americans. She was a role model for the many women she coached 74 of her players have become coaches. Motherhood taught her to balance that rigidity with communication and kindness. She learned to be tough from her strict, demanding father. She owed her coaching success to her personal struggles and triumphs. She coached an undefeated season, co-captained the first women's Olympic team, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and was named Sports Illustrated 'Sportswoman of the Year'. For 38 years, she broke records, winning more games than any NCAA team in basketball history. Pat Summitt was only 21 when she became head coach of the Tennessee Vols women's basketball team. Book Synopsis Pat Summitt, the all-time winningest coach in NCAA basketball history and bestselling author of Reach for the Summitt and Raise The Roof, tells for the first time her remarkable story of victory and resilience as well as facing down her greatest challenge: early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Charlotte Perkins Gilman, "Why I Wrote the Yellow Wall-paper," 1913 This wise man put me to bed and applied the rest cure, to which a still good physique responded so promptly that he concluded that there was nothing much the matter with me, and sent me home with solemn advice to 'live as domestic a life as possible,' to 'have but two hours' intelligent life a day,' and 'never to touch pen, brush or pencil again as long as I lived.' This was in 1887…" During about the third year of this trouble I went, in devout faith and some faint stir of hope, to a noted specialist in nervous diseases, the best known in the country. "For many years I suffered from a severe and continuous nervous breakdown tending to melancholia-and beyond. |
